Martin Gutierrez

Superintendent

A designer by training, carpenter by trade, and artist at heart, Martin straddles the intersection of these three disciplines.  He believes that at the heart of these pursuits is a connection to people; through sacrifice, dedication, and perseverance, Martin’s goal is to create lasting experiences that connect people and activate change to build a better future.

Early in life, Martin discovered his passion for art, design, and architecture, and through the guidance of instructors and personal mentors, he was drawn toward engineering and architectural design. He attended the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, where he developed the necessary skills for a career in design, graduating with a degree Industrial Design.

As a designer working in retail design, he interacted with global brands including Lego, Nintendo, Puma, Bosch, and Hilti, among others.  Through his experience as an industrial designer, he developed a fundamental understanding of real-world applications for contemporary design, production methods used in modern manufacturing, and most importantly, human factors.

In his quest for continual personal growth and education and recognizing the need for real-world builders of the future, he decided to join the ranks of construction industry professionals to apply design thinking to applications in architecture & residential construction.  He attended Madison College to pursue a degree in Construction & Remodeling and received a technical diploma in Construction & Remodeling.

As a construction professional, he specializes in upscale renovations, historic preservation, and high-performance building techniques, emphasizing energy efficiency, elevated design, & optimization.

Martin is driven to create beautiful, healthy, and durable spaces. He is committed to craftsmanship, quality, and client satisfaction through project execution.
