Morgan Compton

Morgan "Mo" Compton grew up in Manitowoc and has always had an interest in all things creative. While studying ceramics at UWM, she solidified her love of working with her hands and developed an interest in set design.

Driven to explore other states, Morgan moved to Colorado and joined the solar industry as an installer. She loved being outdoors among the majestic landscapes of the Mountain West, so different from Wisconsin! Over six years in the industry, she rose from installer to lead and then warehouse manager, spending the last two years of her solar chapter in Albuquerque, appreciating desert culture and collecting vintage turquoise pieces. By the end of that time she missed the act of making and building things herself. She wanted to expand her skills beyond rooftops and ground-mounted solar arrays.

Thanks in part to her brother-in-law's master woodworking skills and carpentry career, Morgan set out to develop her own. When she and her wife moved to Milwaukee, she started as an apprentice with a small local company doing renovation projects, packing her tool belt with new skills. Years later she is still driven by the satisfaction of beautiful finished projects, and especially loves doing ornate, intricate tile-work.

Outside of work, Morgan loves comedy, hanging out with her two mischievous dogs, spending time on the lake, and seeing live music.
